Mysteries
of the Universe
I firmly believe that as residents of the Earth, we have barely scratched the surface of understanding what we are about and why and how we exist. I am always interested in learning more about the mysteries of the universe.
I have reported on world-famous author and hypnotherapist Brian Weiss and talked with those who sincerely believe he helped them to recall past lives whose circumstances helped shape their current conditions. I've talked with and written about spiritual leaders and authors Marianne Williamson and Neale Donald Walsh, who together have formed the American Rennaissance Alliance, a group which they believe will help to guide the growth of knowledge about spirituality and the effects of positive energies - such as love - on the health and well-being of our nation and the people of the world.
I've attended meetings of the Near Death Association and heard fascinating recollections of experiences that cannot be explained in ordinary terms. These experiences have changed the way that I view life and death, and fostered an understanding that I believe everyone could benefit from gaining.
I covered several phenomenal stories as part of the Sun-Sentinel's Second Chance series, tales of people who believe their faith helped provide the strength to overcome tremendous physical difficulties. There was the fellow who developed cancer 16 times, and recalled a figure dressed as a monk visiting him in the hospital as he awaited diagnostic x-rays to determine the best method for dealing with the lung cancer which doctors said was terminal. The monk told the man he would live, and amazingly the next day the x-ray showed the cancer was in complete remission, in fact there was no sign of disease in his lungs. Then there was the woman who was awakened from a dream about her deceased father, and in the moments of coming to consciousness, felt a lump in her breast which was previously undetected. She believes her father guided her to find the cancerous tumor in time for successful treatment.
I have visited and written about Florida's spiritualist town of Cassadaga, near, yet very far removed from, Orlando, and about the absolute magic of swimming with dolphins in the wild in Key West. I have written about the ancient Chinese art of Feng Shui, and talked with practitioners as well as business-people who have had their workspace studied by Feng Shui artists to create the most effective and spiritually rejuvenating space possible. Those who utilize and understand these principles are clearly convinced of its effectiveness.
These are just a few of the mysteries which I will continue to cover - and uncover - for as long as I am able to explore the universe.
